SmartCEO magazine has named Kymm McCabe, ASI's President and CEO, as an award finalist for 2013.
TechAmerica’s Public Sector Board of Directors
TechAmerica, the leading U.S. technology association and the expert voice in the public sector, has appointed Kymm McCabe, President and CEO of ASI Government, to serve on its Public Sector Board of Directors. In this capacity, Kymm will help drive TechAmerica Public Sector Board’s priorities. The board is responsible for overseeing all of the activities of the Public Sector Group, with a special emphasis on federal programs. Her appointment is effective immediately.
Federal 100 Award
Federal Computer Week magazine recognized Catherine Poole, Senior Director of ASI’s Research Institute, with the Federal 100 Award in 2013. The publication honored Ms. Poole for her exceptional work on the Hurricane Sandy Emergency Contracting Toolkit. Past ASI recipients of the award include Lisa Akers, Anne Reed and Catherine herself in 2005.
The Professional Services Council (PSC) Board of Directors
The Professional Services Council (PSC) elected Kimberly “Kymm” McCabe to its Board of Directors during the organization’s recent annual membership meeting. Ms. McCabe is President and CEO of ASI Government, a leading consulting firm with expertise in federal acquisition, program management and strategy and organizational development. In her capacity as a PSC Board member, Ms. McCabe will contribute to the organization’s policy setting and strategic planning efforts.
Ms. McCabe said, “I am incredibly honored to have this opportunity. The PSC leads our industry in advocating for the professional and technical services, and its Board reflects some of the brightest minds in the business. I am eager to participate in a dialogue about public policy and governance on behalf of mid-size companies, and particularly those in the acquisition realm.”

Throughout her career in management and consulting, Ms. McCabe has worked to advance business transformation, strategic planning, performance management and measurement, organizational development and strategic communications. She has delivered business strategy and management consulting to major corporations and public sector clients, and she has held senior level positions with the U.S Army, ICF International, Advanced Performance Consulting Group, Inc., EDS and The Alliance for Converging Technologies. Ms. McCabe is an ardent supporter of public service, and of the public servant, and it is this passion that guides her each day.
WBJ's "Women Who Mean Business" Award
The Washington Business Journal (WBJ) recognized Kymm McCabe, ASI's President and CEO, with the "Women Who Mean Business" Award. The award, presented in November 2012, honors the Washington region’s most influential business women.
INSA's Edwin H. Land Industry Award
The Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA) honored Matthew Matechik, a Junior Intelligence Analyst within ASI's Frontline Solutions Division, in 2012.

The Chief Learning Officer (CLO) Awards recognized ASI's Applied Learning Online™ offering.
The APEX Awards honored ASI's Virtual Acquisition Office™ (VAO) suite of publications. The company received the 2012 APEX Grand Award and the 2011 APEX Award for Publications Excellence.
NCMA Executive Advisory Board
The National Contract Management Association (NCMA) appointed Steve Gluckman, President of ASI's Knowledge and Learning Products division, to its Executive Advisory Board in 2012.

The Greater Washington Government Contractor (GovCon) Awards™ recognized ASI and Kymm McCabe respectively as nominees for Contractor of the Year and Executive of the year.
Federal 100 Award
Federal Computer Week magazine recognized Lisa Akers, President of ASI's Consulting Division, with the Federal 100 Award in 2011. The publication honored Ms. Akers for her work in support of then-federal CIO Vivek Kundra’s call to improve IT acquisition and program management.
