WHO SHOULD ATTEND Master's Certificate Program Information

Registration
How do I register for a course? You may register for a course at any time online, by phone at 866-426-3500, or via e-mail at training@acqsolinc.com When will Acquisition Solutions confirm my registration? Acquisition Solutions will confirm your registration at least thirty-days prior to the start of class. If you do not receive your confirmation notice, please contact us. Are courses occasionally cancelled? Occasionally it is necessary to cancel a scheduled course. If a class is cancelled, the prepaid tuition or paperwork is retained until the participant or employer informs the school to either:
1. Refund the money or return the paperwork (Note: Credit Card Payments will not be processed until thirty-days prior to the start of class. If a course is cancelled prior to credit card processing and the student does not wish to register for another course, the credit card information will be securely disposed.)
2. Transfer the money or paperwork toward tuition for another scheduled course.
Please note: Registrations involving paperwork require amended forms with appropriate date and location changes.
Course schedules are subject to change without notice. Please refer to our web site for the most current information. When should I make travel reservations? Please do not make nonrefundable travel registrations before you receive a registration confirmation letter. Payment When will my payment be processed? Payments will not be processed until the class has been confirmed. Classes are confirmed or cancelled 30 days prior to the start of class. What types of payment do you accept? We accept checks, credit cards, purchase orders, and government training forms (SF182, DD1556, etc.). Accepted credit cards include: Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Can I pay for the courses myself? Yes, course fees may be paid via personal check or credit card. When is payment due?
Does Acquisition Solutions offer discounted open enrollment rates? A 10 percent discount is offered when purchasing three or more seats at a time. Will Acquisition Solutions come on-site to our facility and teach a group course at a discounted rate? Absolutely. We offer group rates for specialized, on-site group training classes conducted for government agencies. Group classes are tailored to the agency's individual requirements and can be held at the agency's facility or at ours. Acquisition Solutions has several educational partners through which our courses may also be taken. You may check the schedules at: In addition, all courses offered by the Acquisition Solutions Training Institute are available to the government in group class formats, tailored to your agency's individual requirements. If you have missed a class day, you may call the counseling office to schedule a make-up day You must make up the day you missed to receive credit and a completion certificate for the course. WHO SHOULD ATTEND? Who should attend? Our courses are designed and intended for both government and industry key team players to include: Open Enrollment courses are offered to both the government and industry. The Acquisition Solutions Training Institute will continue to provide tailored group training solely to the government. In addition, all courses offered by the Acquisition Solutions Training Institute are available to the government in group class formats, tailored to your agency's individual requirements. Master's Certificate Program Information Besides completing the courses, are there any other requirements for the certificate? No, the Master's Certificate Program is a competency-based educational experience and you will receive a certificate upon completion of the three specified core courses and two elective courses. How long do I have to complete the program? All courses must be completed within a four-year period. This completion period begins with the first day of the first course applied toward the Master's Certificate Program. Do I have to take courses in a certain order? The Master's Certificate Program is structured to build advanced competencies based on core knowledge. We strongly recommend that the two foundation courses (PBA and PBPM) be taken first, so you become grounded in the methodologies and thought processes required to implement performance-based acquisition successfully. Electives may be selected in any order after the foundation courses are completed. As a capstone to the Master's Certificate Program, the Strategic Business Advisor course brings everything you've learned into a synergized focus, so you are equipped to be a leader in your organization's PBA programs. I've taken Acquisition Solutions training courses in the past. Do these apply to this Master's Certificate Program? Yes, if you've taken our courses they will apply toward the program requirements. If previously completed courses are applied, the four-year completion requirement commences at the time you apply to the program. Is your previous PBM course equivalent to the PBPM course? Yes, our Performance-Based Management course has been renamed to the Performance-Based Project Management course. If you've taken our course under its previous title, it will apply. Can I get college credit for these courses? The Master's Certificate Program is designed to build PBA competency and recognize exceptional educational achievement. Although Acquisition Solutions is currently working toward obtaining American Council on Education (ACE) accreditation, which will assign college credits to each of our courses. The program is not currently eligible for college credit and although a prestigious accomplishment, is not equivalent to a master's degree. We anticipate receiving this accreditation by March 1, 2008. When can I obtain college credits for your courses? Acquisition Solutions is working to obtain American Council on Education (ACE) accreditation, which will assign college credits to each of our courses. Is the Master's Certificate Program affiliated with a University? Not yet! Acquisition Solutions is working toward obtaining a distinguished affiliation in the near future. What happens if I change jobs before completing all the courses? Changing jobs will not affect your candidacy for the master's certificate in any way. Are your courses available to government and industry? Acquisition Solutions believes firmly that government and industry must be strong partners in a successful performance-based acquisition environment. For that reason, the Master's Certificate Program is available to all stakeholders in the process, in both the public and private sectors. How long has Acquisition Solutions been in the training business? Acquisition Solutions has been assisting government agencies with acquisition services for more than 10 years.
